“Mad” Wins One-Minute Film Festival

The Department of Communication and Design has held its fifth annual One-Minute Film Festival, featuring 11 one minute-long films produced by COMD fourth-year students. The award ceremony took place last week on Wednesday, April 8 at the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture building. Participating films were screened and the winners of the competition announced.

The winners of the One-Minute Film Festival 2015 are:

First Place: “Mad,” Selin Çetindağ, Kemal Yenidünya, Emir Yunt, Işıl Vural

Second Place: “Rust In Peace,” Cem Arda Lenger, Ekin Tezcan, Serdarcan Babaoğlu

Third Place: “Journey,” Sıla Alıcı, Kemal Sarıgül, Doğukan Atlıhan

 

2014 winners:

1st Place: 2 is a Crowd, Dila Dokuzoğlu, Elif Danyla, Egemen Kayıket

2nd Place: Gün, Dorukhan Şengel, Veysel Atalay, Deniz Cebeci

3rd Place: Postpone, Hasan Ufuk Yardımcı, Nesiba Eylül Sert, Can Erim Doğay

 

2013 winners:

1st Place: Roy, Burcu Erdoğan, Emrah Müderrisoğlu, Nikolas Tomaidis, Volkan Kölüksüz

2nd Place: Psikolog, Büke Göksel, Demirhan Şeker, Göksel Altül

3rd Place: The Conflict, Gamze Ögeer, Melis Işıkyıldız

Funda Şenova Tunalı joined the Department of Communication and Design in 2012. She received her BFA, MFA and PhD degrees in Graphic Design at Bilkent University, Ankara, and a European Media MA degree in Image Synthesis and Computer Animation at the Faculty of Art, Media and Technology, Utrecht School of the Arts, Hilversum, NL. She is working on digital typography, user interface design and contemporary sound design.
