Bilkent undergraduates interested in combining their major with training in media and communication studies are invited to consider the COMD minor program. The curriculum offers a concentrated program in media theory and practice that would complement any academic field.

Students enrolled in any of the Bilkent faculties are eligible to apply, provided that they fulfill the application criteria set by the university. Enrollment in a minor program is open to students with a CGPA of at least 3.0 who have completed two semesters of study, but have not yet completed their fifth semester at Bilkent. The COMD minor program consists of six courses, of which three are specifically required and three will be selected by the student.

REQUIRED MINOR COURSES:

  • COMD 203 Introduction to Communication Studies I (Fall)
  • COMD 204 Introduction to Communication Studies II (Spring)
  • COMD 321 Analysis of Moving Image (Fall)

MINOR ELECTIVES:
Select three 300 or 400 level courses offered by COMD. Check the Bilkent COMD catalog for current course offerings at this level.
