Exciting news from our interdisciplinary team! 🎉
Their paper has been accepted to AES Show 2026!
The project was developed by our graduate student team: Ulaş D., Elif Ahsen ÇAKMAKCİ, Tuvana Karaduman, and Sümeyra Nur Atalay under the supervision of Dr. Ufuk Önen and Dr. Burcu Ayşe Ürgen.
The project grew out of COMD 527 – Creative Sound Design and Synthesis, taught by Dr. Ufuk Önen at Bilkent University, and brings together two seemingly different worlds: sound design and biological motion research.
What started as an interdisciplinary course project has now become a research paper to be presented at AES Show 2026, a wonderful example of what can emerge when students and researchers from different fields bring their perspectives together.
