New Publication: “Adaptation in the New Turkish Cinema”

A chapter in the newly published Routledge Companion to Global Literary Adaptation was co-authored by COMD alumnus M. Mert Örsler (B.A. 2019) and COMD faculty member Colleen Kennedy-Karpat.

Their essay considers the work of filmmaker Zeki Demirkubuz to discuss how adapting literary works from the Western canon has shaped contemporary Turkish arthouse films to better appeal to global audiences.

Brandon Chua and Elizabeth Ho edited this volume, which appears as part of the Companion series from Routledge.
