Student-Faculty Collaboration in The Medial Afterlives of H. P. Lovecraft (Palgrave, 2023)

A chapter in the new book The Medial Afterlives of H. P. Lovecraft was based on graduate research undertaken by Bilkent University alumna Serenay Günal (M.A. Media & Visual Studies; B.A. English Literature) and developed for publication in partnership with her M.A. advisor Colleen Kennedy-Karpat.

The chapter title is “Authorship Discourse and Lovecraftian Videogames.” It considers how Lovecraft’s status as a well-known author shapes the understanding and reception of video games adapted from his literary fiction.

The collection is a part of the Adaptation & Visual Culture series published by Palgrave Macmillan, and Tim Lanzendörfer and Max José Dreysse Passos de Carvalho edited it.
