The Economist Cartoonist gave a Workshop at Bilkent COMD

Kevin Kallaugher (KAL), the editorial cartoonist for The Economist magazine, was at Bilkent on October 6th to lead a workshop on politics and satire. The famous cartoonist shared his experience in drawing world leaders and current events. Kallaugher also discussed the challenges a political cartoonist faces. During the workshop, participants from the COMD and GRA departments made some cartoons.

KAL’s work has appeared in more than 100 publications worldwide and he has won many awards for his work including the 2014 Grand Prix for Cartoon of the Year in Europe as presented by Press Cartoon Europe.
